Set up Google Analytics in Tag Manager

    Google Analytics is a powerful tool that allows you to analyze your website’s performance. With this platform, you can:

    • Identify which pages receive the most attention.
    • Measure the success of your campaigns.

    Google Tag Manager makes it easy to manage different tracking codes (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel). It simplifies the integration process and does not require coding knowledge.

2. How to Create a Google Analytics Account

Step 1: Log in to Google Analytics

Step 2: Create a New Account

  • Navigate to the Admin Panel: Click on the “Admin” section located in the bottom-left corner.
  • Create a New Account:
    • Account Name: For example, your company or website name.
    • Data Sharing Settings: Specify your preferences for how Google can use your data.

Step 3: Create a Property

  • Property Name: Choose a name related to your website or project.
  • Reporting Time Zone and Currency: Set these based on your region.
  • Select Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which is the latest version offering future-ready features.

Step 4: Add a Data Stream

  • Select Platform: Choose “Web.”
  • Website URL: Enter your website’s full URL (including http or https).
  • Stream Name: Assign a descriptive name (e.g., “Main Website”).
  • Save the Measurement ID: This will look like “G-XXXXXXX” and is required for integration with Google Tag Manager.

3. How to Integrate Google Analytics with Google Tag Manager

Step 1: Create a New Tag

  • Open Google Tag Manager and go to the “Tags” section.
  • Click on “New Tag.”
  • Tag Configuration:
    • Tag Type: Select “Google Analytics.”
    • In the pop-up, select the “Google Tag” option.
    • Measurement ID: Paste the ID you obtained from Google Analytics.
  • Add a Trigger:
    • Go to the “Triggers” section and add the “Initialization – All Pages” trigger.
  • Save the tag.

Step 2: Publish the Tag

  • In the Google Tag Manager main panel, click “Submit.”
  • Add a version name and description, then publish the tag.
